For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. - Titus 2:11
I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.
Jeremiah 31:3
Jeremiah 31:3
This is where it all starts. Not with what we do, what we've done, or how much we have yet to do. It starts with God and with God's love for you! The creator God is a relational God who desires relationship with men and women He created in His image. He desires to be near to us, and we were made for Him. All of our longings and desires to be loved, known, and understood are fully met in Jesus.
But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
Romans 5:8
Romans 5:8
The Bible says we have all sinned, or "missed the mark." Sin causes death, and that is why we need a Savior. We are separated from God, dead spiritually in our sin, and cannot experience the joyful, fulfilled life He designed for us to live. This is where the good news, or "Gospel," comes in. Jesus, God's only Son, left heaven, entered into our broken world, and suffered on a cross just outside Jerusalem to pay the price for our sin. Three days later, He rose again - demonstrating His power over the grave. Because Jesus died for our sin, God sees us now as He sees the Son - innocent, pure, and set a part for good works. Because Jesus rose again, we know He has the power to give us eternal life. But, we must receive it!
But God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins,
He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)
Ephesians 2:4
He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)
Ephesians 2:4
John 10:10 says, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it abundantly." This is the offer of Jesus. He gave us all, so that we could enjoy life in relationship with Jesus, no longer separated from Him and without hope for the future. When we receive the gift of salvation, the Holy Spirit indwells us. He comes to live inside of us so that we can live empowered, grace-filled, satisfied lives in Jesus. He does the work of transformation within us making us a new creation in Christ.
