Jr. High 6:00-7:30 (Gym Opens at 5:45) - Sr. High 7:00-9:00

Hello Parents

This week we are locking in on romantic relationships. The topic that catches the attention of almost every teenager on earth. There is no getting around the fact that young people are enamored with the idea of being in a relationship and desire for that relationship to be good. But the reality is that most teens struggle with relationships and certainly avoid/downplay conversations with their parents. For many of them, they will learn how to have a relationship based on what they have witnessed, what their friends say, and whatever tv show’s they may be into. Not exactly great resources for wisdom and Godly living. We are excited to remind students of their foundational relationship first with God, then with parents, then with friends. It all starts by learning in our relationship with the Lord how to live holy and how to love others as God loves us. Then using the foundation and observations of our parents, we take what is good and right and seek to implement. The third phase is not to seek the wisdom of friends (though this can be helpful from time to time) but rather to be friends with the person you are interested in romantically. Too many people jump into a dating relationship before spending any quality time together as friends. This step alone could save a lot of heartbreaking turmoil. Ultimately, we want students to learn how to approach dating with the desire to honor God. Looking to scripture for wisdom and advice about how to honor God, treat other people, and set appropriate boundaries.

JR. High Camp:

Each summer we take a group of students our to Trail’s End Ranch in Ekalaka, Montana. This is a summer bible camp that is packed with fun activity and adventure. Students will have the opportunity to sign up for all kinds of activities like paintball, high adventure, outdoor life, crafts, sports, and more. They will be put on teams for the week and compete to win ice cream Sundays by playing games, memorizing and reading scripture. They will spend daily time with God each morning and have great teaching to challenge their faith. This year we are going to camp from June 18-25. The cost is $150 per person (If you need assistance please let us know), and you should plan for your student to pay for 4 meals along the way (Fast food), and we recommend some additional money for the Snack Shack. You can register here.

Sr. high mission trip

LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER!!! This year we have decided to take any current 8th grade-12 grade students on a mission trip to Niagara Falls! While we are there we will be working with people who are in need of help with home projects, community beautification, and other needed service projects. This will allow for students to make connections, build relationships, and be intentional about how they interact with other people for the sake of the gospel! Currently our registration is full, but if we get a few more people on our waiting list, we will take a second van. Hurry to sign up because we can no longer guarantee open spaces for the trip. You can register here.

Graduation Sunday

Each year we celebrate our graduates during a Sunday morning service. This year we will have Graduation Sunday on June 12 and would love to have you join us! For those of you who have graduating students, could you please send a senior picture and a statement about their future plans to bethany@grace906.com. We are so proud of the young men and women they are becoming and we want to celebrate and encourage them as they make the transition out of high school. I hope you will be there to join us!
