Jr. High 6:00-7:30 (Gym Opens at 5:45) - Sr. High 7:00-9:00

Hello Parents

“Bridges: Stop Burning, Start Building.” In this series we will consider the deep need of having strong relationships. There are many times when we get hurt and respond to people from a place of hurt. In so doing, we negatively influence the relationship damaging the strength of its bridge. There are many relationships that we can devalue or deconstruct over time by not giving it appropriate attention or by not caring about the other person at all. Last week we focused on understanding our relationship with our parents with a foundation that is built on Jesus. This week, we are taking a look at God honoring friendships. It can be hard to find good friends. Some of us have had a good friend or two since we were little. Others, have been looking for a good friend for a long time. Whether you have had one or are looking and important question to ask is “how do I make my current friendships better?” Almost everyone has someone that is a friend. But honestly, sometimes that friend is awful. And for some of us, we are the awful friend. Regardless of which one you are, strengthening your relationships with other people is important. You will have really hard times in your life when you need good friends. You will have awesome times in your life when you want to celebrate with friends who are genuinely happy for you. So learning how to develop and strengthen your friendships is important. It also has the potential to change your life and your friends. So, the question remains “How do I steward my friendships in a God honoring way that strengthens our relationship?”

JR. High Camp:

Each summer we take a group of students our to Trail’s End Ranch in Ekalaka, Montana. This is a summer bible camp that is packed with fun activity and adventure. Students will have the opportunity to sign up for all kinds of activities like paintball, high adventure, outdoor life, crafts, sports, and more. They will be put on teams for the week and compete to win ice cream Sundays by playing games, memorizing and reading scripture. They will spend daily time with God each morning and have great teaching to challenge their faith. This year we are going to camp from June 18-25. The cost is $150 per person (If you need assistance please let us know), and you should plan for your student to pay for 4 meals along the way (Fast food), and we recommend some additional money for the Snack Shack. You can register here.

Sr. high mission trip

This year we have decided to take any current 8th grade-12 grade students on a mission trip to Niagara Falls! While we are there we will be working with people who are in need of help with home projects, community beautification, and other needed service projects. This will allow for students to make connections, build relationships, and be intentional about how they interact with other people for the sake of the gospel! Currently our registration is full, but if we get a few more people on our waiting list, we will take a second van. Hurry to sign up because we can no longer guarantee open spaces for the trip. You can register here.
