Jr. High 6:00-7:30 (Gym Opens at 5:45) - Sr. High 7:00-9:00

Hello Parents

Next week we will be going through a relationship series called Bridges: Stop Burning, Start Building.” In this series we will consider the deep need of having strong relationships. There are many times when we get hurt and respond to people from a place of hurt. In so doing, we negatively influence the relationship damaging the strength of its bridge. There are many relationships that we can devalue or deconstruct over time by not giving it appropriate attention or by not caring about the other person at all. Last week we focused on what it means to make God the first relationship in our life. Understanding that it is on that foundation that we learn how to love. This week, we consider our relationship with parents. We will be looking at Ephesians 6:1-4, “Honor your father and mother.” Our goal is not to preach to our kids that they need to be good for mom and dad. This can perpetuate a form of moralism that has hurt the message of the gospel in the past. Instead, we want to encourage them, build them up, and then pose the question “What does it mean to honor your father and mother?” At that point, we will offer some helpful insights that many of our partnered parents have suggested. Along with this, we want to ask you a question we will be asking them, “What is one way that you can strengthen your relationship?” If you have been struggling with their increasing desire for independence and feeling like you are being left behind, this may be a great time for you to intentionally make an investment. If they also respond with an investment, it may give you some needed momentum and encouragement. Our team is praying for each of you, blessings!

JR. High Camp:

Each summer we take a group of students our to Trail’s End Ranch in Ekalaka, Montana. This is a summer bible camp that is packed with fun activity and adventure. Students will have the opportunity to sign up for all kinds of activities like paintball, high adventure, outdoor life, crafts, sports, and more. They will be put on teams for the week and compete to win ice cream Sundays by playing games, memorizing and reading scripture. They will spend daily time with God each morning and have great teaching to challenge their faith. This year we are going to camp from June 18-25. The cost is $150 per person (If you need assistance please let us know), and you should plan for your student to pay for 4 meals along the way (Fast food), and we recommend some additional money for the Snack Shack. You can register here.

Sr. high mission trip

This year we have decided to take any current 8th grade-12 grade students on a mission trip to Niagara Falls! While we are there we will be working with people who are in need of help with home projects, community beautification, and other needed service projects. This will allow for students to make connections, build relationships, and be intentional about how they interact with other people for the sake of the gospel! Currently our registration is full, but if we get a few more people on our waiting list, we will take a second van. Hurry to sign up because we can no longer guarantee open spaces for the trip. You can register here.
