Jr. High 6:00-7:30 (Gym Opens at 5:45) - Sr. High 7:00-9:00

Hello Parents,

We are so thankful for your partnership and help in our Clothing Ukraine mission. We are a little behind schedule and yet God has provided in His own way. The children have just arrived at the new orphanage in Germany where they will be staying for the foreseeable future. We are now able to get an address (For the first time since the invasion) on where we will ship the boxes. God is good and even in the midst of a Crises, He is at work!

Section Title

This is the last week of our prayer series, we will be combining several of the passage from the last few weeks (Colossians 1:13-23, Hebrews 1:1-4, and John 1:1-4) to consider how they collectively speak to the person of Christ and the significance of the Great Commission in Matthew 28:16-20. In order for us to care, understand, or see the massive implications of the Great Commission, we have to have an adequate understanding of the person of Jesus. Once we understand Him as God, Holy and perfect in every way, ,more powerful than we can imagine and incredibly generous; we are able to stop and more fairly consider the Great Commission. Jesus says, it is by His is deity, because of His authority over everything that exists, that we are sent out on a mission for His kingdom. Not only are we given a mission but some instruction on how to carry the mission out. This is significant to every believer. We are called to love the Lord with “all of our heart, with all of our soul, with all of our strength, and with all of our mind.” For us to love God in such a way we cannot simply come to youth group and church. We cannot simply do our devotionals and grow in our own faith. We cannot simply work out our faith with fear and trembling before God. We are called to do all of these things while at the same time reaching the world around us for the sake of Christ’s eternal kingdom. Sometimes we get focused on self and forget about the world around us. Other times we feel uncomfortable and lack the courage to take a meaningful step towards someone on Jesus’ behalf. Yet this is the call. This is the mission. To love God and love others by living a life that points them to Him.

Take Action

1. Who are you actively pursuing for Jesus?

2. Who are you praying for everyday to accept Jesus?

3. When is the last time you invited someone to church?

         a. When you had a conversation with an unbeliever about God?

         b. When you found courage to overcome your hesitation and took a step of faith?

Let's Go Bowling!

On Wednesday, March 23 we will be taking the Youth bowling in place of Youth Group. This is something we do each year and it has been a lot of fun to connect with students in this way. Jr. High will be at the Bowl A Rama from 6:15-7:15, if anyone needs a ride from Gladstone, the church vans will leave the church parking lot at 6:00 pm and returning at 7:30 pm. Sr. High will be at the bowling ally from 7:30-9:00 pm, Church vans will leave the church at 7:15 and return at 9:15 pm. The cost is $9 per person (If anyone needs assistance, we will foot the bill), it includes bowling, pizza, and pop. We do ask that students bring exact change to pay for bowling. If anyone brings a first-time friend, the friend comes free!!!
