Volunteer to cook and serve a meal with the Salvation Army Friendship Kitchen. Anyone interested in serving is encouraged to contact Tony Millette, 280-8979, Christa Klarich, 203-8651 or Becky Barrios, 399-6946. Grace volunteers serve at the Friendship Kitchen on the last Saturday of each month.
Participate in the year-round collection for Operation Christmas Child that will run in addition to, not to replace, the Christmas Shoe Box collection held each November. On the last Sunday of each month, we will collect a new item to be dropped off on that Sunday only - a table will be set up in the foyer. The April 28 item to be collected is mittens, socks, hats, undergarments.
Stock up for the upcoming collections:
May - toiletries (soap, washcloths, toothbrushes)
June - deflated soccer balls w/pump, small toys
July - small stuffed animals, dolls
August - school supplies
September - small backpacks, totes
October - flip-flops, shoes
SPECIAL thanks to all who donated and volunteered with the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Collection this past season! The Upper Peninsula collected 9,180 shoeboxes to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to children around the world!
